Now the story section will be able to choose and sort the preferred at runtime. Depending on the community responses it will sort itself and this process will allow us to get interesting topics on the home page.

This is only the first phase of the algorithm and with time we will improve it further with time. With more and more people using it we can get better statistics to analyze the working of algo. This algo involves,

1. Post time.
2. Total comments.
3. Votes (both “yes” and “no”). We have allowed guests to vote as well with an advanced spam checking filter.
4. Total views (Ajax based highly efficient algo).
5. Click response and time spent on the story section. (very effective algo, works in the path of major search engines)
6. Submitter’s history with the story submission.
7. Tagging response.

This is just a beginning and with time the algo will evolve. I need to make the pager work for the story section. I am planning to use Pear:Pager class for it. Please let me know your feedback on the story section.

Content if not debated is just a view but one allowing discussion bears more fruits. In other words content/information is dead if it is not allowed to be debated over. We at AmPmInsure will add discussion attribute to each information item. Community discussion or participation will allow harnessing the collective intelligence of the crowd.

How to participate in community discussion?

1. Go to http://www.ampminsure.org/community/ (category based discussions).
2. Choose one category, example “Getting Started“.
3. Now you will get a list of discussions. You can also start a new discussion by clicking on the button which reads,
   
4. If you want to participate in an existing discussion topic then choose one topic from the list, example Is Disability insurance a priority? under the category “Getting Started“.
5. Read through the discussion and click on the button which reads,
   
6. Put in your reply and click on the submit button and your reply will be added to the discussion. Keep checking the topic as other members will come and participate in the discussions.

I am glab to introduce the story section. This is to reach other useful stories (news/blogs/articles or any other information) available across World Wide Web.

What is it all about?
This is a section where anyone can submit a story for the community. Once you submit the story it will be available to the community, there is no moderation or selection process, all stories are laid in front of the community. Spammers will face a tough time to get votes and come to the visible area. This is a community managed news section.

As our other section this too is simple to use. Each story can be discussed and debated by clicking on the “Replies”. We have a smart voting section allowing even the guest to post by keeping a backend to clear the possible spam votes.

Why to submit to the story section?
There are many reasons, few are:-

• Helping community by sharing useful information.
• If you are the owner of the story you can get targeted readers by submitting the story.

This is still in beta stage, so you can expect improvement every single day. We are using AJAX to make the system faster.

If the web interface is troubling you then here are some simpler solutions to it.

1. Qumana  - This is a simple desktop tool which can help you blog from your local machine. You can do the posting being offline and then upload it later. The interface is simpler and much friendly.

3. Performancing for firefox: If you are a firefox lover like me then you can use this extension for easy blogging.
   

I will try harder to make blogging simpler for all our community members. I will also help the community use Adsense and other advertising channels. Happy Blogging .

I always wanted to share the revenue with all the community members as we stand and work as a community. Our main goal is to help the people understand insurance. In order to achieve the goal we need to put some good efforts which involve time. I am thankful to all my community members for offering voluntary help but as an appreciation for all the work I will like to share the revenue with our community.

I always wanted bloggers to do niche marketing and this platform will allows us to do that. I am glad that after some hard work we are able to configure the blogs for our community members.

• Why use other general blogging platforms for Insurance blogs when we can drive more traffic to our community blogs?
• Why not interact with other insurance bloggers and share the experiences under one common platform?
• Why not earn good money using blogs?

We as community will try to find a better solution for the above said questions using our common blog platform. This is just the alpha to blogs and we will take good steps to make it simpler.
